The Knights Templars No. 28

 

An encampment of Knights Templars was in residence at Glamis from 12th January, 1814 to

The original Charter was discovered under a stairwell in our Hall, during renovations carried out in 1997. 

This Charter, which was granted by The Grand Priory of Scotland,

"do grant unto them this our Charter constituting and forming them into a regular encampment or chapter of the said Exalted, Religious and Military Orders according to the ancient constitutions therefor in due and ample form". 

The Encampment was given No. 28 upon the Roll.
